Visa for business / conference

For a business or conference visit you are required to enclose an invitation – a letter – with your visa application. The invitation must come from the company concerned or from whoever is organizing the conference.

The invitation must contain details about you, the applicant, such as:

  • personal particulars
  • arrival and departure dates
  • the purpose of your visit
  • who will support you during your stay in Sweden

A pre-printed form is found to the right, Questionnaire for applicants, Appendix A. It is also available at the Embassy.


What must I submit for a visa for business?

  • Application for Schengen Visa, completed, signed and dated
  • Appendix D: Family Appendix for Applicants and travelplan
  • Two colour photos not more than six months old, 3 x 4 size, full face and taken against white background
  • Passport or other valid travel document with a validity of at least three months beyond the planned departure from Sweden. Photocopy of the first page of the passport as well as extensions and/or name changes
  • A valid confirmed return airline-ticket to Indonesia / print-out ticket / ticket booking
  • Medical travel insurance (copy), the insurance must cover a minimum of  € 30 000 for medical costs (treatment, hospitalization, etc); see medical / travel insurance
  • Invitation letter from the company or the person arranging the conference
  • Certificate of Registration for the Swedish company issued by the Swedish Companies Registration Office (Bolagsverket)
  • A sponsor letter from Indonesia (company, institution, etc.)
  • Financial statement (from the company if the trip is accommodated by a company or a personal Bank Statement if the trip is accommodated personally)
  • KIMS / KITAS (for foreign citizens residing in Indonesia)

Any documents presented in Bahasa Indonesia should be translated into English
