Tourist visa

You may be granted a visa if the Embassy is of the opinion that you intend to leave the Schengen zone after completing your visit. If, however, it is deemed that you actually intend to settle within the Schengen zone your application will be denied. When applying for a tourist visa for Sweden, you must submit all of the following documents:

What must I submit for a tourist visa?

  • Application for Schengen Visa, completed, signed and dated
  • Appendix D: Family Appendix for Applicants
  • Passport or other valid travel document with a validity of at least three months beyond the planned departure from Sweden. Photocopy of the first page of the passport as well as extensions and/or name changes
  • Two colour photos not more than six months old, 3 x 4 size, full face and taken against white background. Photographs that do not conform to these standards will be rejected and may cause delay in processing the application
  • Proof of purpose of the visit, evidence of accommodation, e.g. confirmed hotel reservation or confirmation of organised tour
  • Evidence of occupation/student status
  • A valid confirmed return airline-ticket to Indonesia / print-out ticket / ticket booking
  • Medical travel insurance (original), the insurance must cover a minimum of  € 30 000 for medical costs (treatment, hospitalization, etc); see medical / travel insurance
  • A sponsor letter from Indonesia (company, institution etc.)
  • Documents proving sufficient means for the entire visit such as bank statement or copy of bank book
  •  KIMS / KITAS (for foreign citizens residing in Indonesia)

Your entry visa must be entered in your passport before your arrival in Sweden.
