Tourist visa

You may be granted a visa if the Embassy is of the opinion that you intend to leave the Schengen zone after completing your visit. If, however, it is deemed that you actually intend to settle within the Schengen zone your application will be denied.

Your Schengen visa must be entered into your passport before your arrival in Sweden.

All visitors to Sweden must have a valid passport and enough money for their upkeep in Sweden as well as a confirmed return airline-ticket.

Please show your original passport when submitting your application.


What must I submit for a tourist visa?

  • Visa application forms, Appendix D and Travel Plan

  • Two recent photograph size 3 x 4 cm.

  • Copy of passport – only the biodata page

  • A valid confirmed return airline-ticket to Indonesia / print-out ticket / ticket booking

  • Medical travel insurance (original & copy), the insurance must cover a minimum of  € 30 000 for medical costs (treatment, hospitalization, etc); see medical / travel insurance

  • A sponsor letter from Indonesia (company, institution etc.)

  • Financial statement of the last 3 month.

  • Hotel booking in Sweden and complete travel plan (note: for groups only the travel plan or itinerary and the name list of the applicants is needed)

  • KIMS / KITAS (for foreign citizens residing in Indonesia)
