Mr Ahlberger was appointed Ambassador of Sweden to Singapore in September 2006.
Before joining the Ministry for Foreign Affairs, Mr Ahlberger has held several positions in organisations like the Swedish Red Cross, the Swedish National Research Establishment, the EU Commission in Brussels and the EFTA Secretariat in Geneva. He has also worked for the Ministry of Defence and the Ministry of Industry and Trade.
He joined the Ministry for Foreign Affairs in the late 1990s, where he was the Director at the Office of the Minister of Trade. Mr Ahlberger has been posted at the Embassy of Sweden in Copenhagen, Denmark and most recently as Deputy Head of Mission at the Embassy of Sweden in Beijing, China.
Mr Ahlberger holds a degree in International Relations and Economics from the University of Stockholm and from the John Hopkins University in International Relations.
Mr Ahlberger is married with two children.
