NGO Information

There are several Swedish Non Governmental Organisations, NGOs working in Tanzania, for example: Forum Syd, PMU Interlife and the Church of Sweden Mission.

Forum Syd
Forum Syd is a meeting place for people with different ideas and experiences, all working towards a common goal: global justice and sustainable development. It consists of more than 120 member organisations with a diversity of ideologies and activities. Some of these are large organisations with turnovers reaching hundreds of millions of crowns and with lengthy experience of working with South and East, while others are small local associations kept alive by the voluntary work of individual members. It also works together with organisations of varying size and goals in the developing countries. For Forum Syd it is these exchanges between organisations in South and North that is important. Main financial support is from Sida, the Swedish state's international development body.

PMU-INTERLIFE
PMU-Interlife coordinates relief and development programmes carried out by the Swedish Pentecostal Movement in Third World countries. PMU is involved in about 100 projects in 40 countries. In Tanzania they cooperate with PCAT Service Centre.
