Requirements for resident permit applications

• Application form – two copies.
  
  
• ”Personbevis” (familjebevis) from the family member (referent) in Sweden (available at the Swedish Tax Agency) – two copies.
  
  
• Any available documentation proving that you have an established relationship with the referent, e.g. marriage certificate and a verification, birth certificate, death certificate, adoption order, decision of custody, etc. All officially translated to English – original and two copies.
  
  
• Original valid passport and two photocopies of the Data Page, Immigration file number and any other visas and resident permits in your passport.

• Two copies of National ID-card or Alien's card.

• Birth certificate, original and two copies.
  
  
• Two passport photographs in colour with a white background.
  
  
• Copy of the decision from the Migration Board for the family member (referent) with the information of “beslutsklass”.
  
  
• Bank deposit slip.
  
  
• Parental consent is required for minors.
  
  
• For Somali citizens – a Somali passport, even though not accepted as a travel document to Sweden, and all documents that can show the identity of the applicant.

Please come with your documents well sorted with the application forms, with the photos attached, on top. All application forms must be signed by the applicant or the applicants legal guardian.
