Introduction of a booking system for visas and residence permits at the Embassy

The Embassy has introduced an appointment system for visas and residence permits at the Embassy. All applicants applying for visa or residence permit (for settlement, work or study) for Sweden has to make an appointment at the Embassy before visiting.

Appointments should be made phoning the Visa Section at the Embassy on 0121-922 3595. No other number should be used for this purpose. The line will be open for calls Monday - Tuesday; Thursday -  Friday between 08.30-10.00.

Groups or families consisting of 5 people or more should contact the Embassy in order to make a special booking.

The Embassy has also allocated 5 “drop in” appointments on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons, starting from 14.00. These spots will be on a strict “first come, first served” basis. If you do not receive a number between one through five, you will not be let in.

The Embassy is not responsible for reminding you of your appointment so please make sure that you note your appointment details properly. If you do not show up at the Embassy on time for your appointment you will have to make a complete new booking. Please note that this might delay your travel plans.
