Schengen Visa Fee: Uniform visa fee of USD 85 in the form of demand draft is payable at the time of forwarding application through courier from Sri Lanka. The demand draft should draw in favour of “Embassy of Sweden” (Visa) payable in New Delhi. A person who wish to submit application personally at the Embassy or with VFS in New Delhi can make the payment in Indian currency i.e. INR.3900/- per application. Category A = Airport TransitCategory B = Transit VisaCategory C = Stay not exceeding 90 days (single/double/multiple) Visa application fee, which is non-refundable in case of refusal, should be submitted along with the visa application. Interview: Requirement of personal interview is made only after assessment of the application by the Embassy Official and may differ from case to case. Incase personal interview is required Embassy will inform the applicant preferably by email. Please enclose email address in application form or in covering letter If the decision is taken without personal interview then the Embassy will inform applicant to submit passport through courier for necessary endorsement.

Incomplete Application: It is important that applicant must submit application along with all relevant documents as mentioned in the checklist. A current passport must be valid for at least three months longer than the intended stay. Note:- Applicant from Sri Lanka and Maldives must submit copy of the entire passport (bio page to last cover of the passport)
All applicants must be able to prove that he/she has a valid personal travel insurance which covers costs of emergency treatment by a doctor, urgent ambulance transportation and transportation back to his/her home country if required for medical reasons. The insurance should be valid in all Schengen countries and cover costs amounting to at least € 30 000.

The demand draft should be drawn in favour of “Embassy of Sweden” (Visa) payable in New Delhi. A person who wishes to submit the application personally at the Embassy in New Delhi can make the payment through local demand draft. Applicant must send prepaid courier envelope along with application for return of passport and original document. Interview: After the assessment of the resident permit application the Embassy in New Delhi will inform applicant about the interview through email.
