Section for Development Cooperation, Cambodia, now upgraded to an Embassy

On 4 August 2010 the Section Office in Phnom Penh, Cambodia was upgrade to an Embassy. The new Ambassador is Ms Anne Höglund. The Embassy will have its own web page shortly.

The Embassy of Sweden in Cambodia opened on the 4 August 2010, before then Sweden was represented through its Embassy in Bangkok and a section focusing on development Cooperation based in Phnom Penh. The Embassy in Phnom Penh provides consular support to Swedes in Cambodia.

Swedish development cooperation

Sweden has been giving support to Cambodia since 1979. Being one of the poorest countries in the world, the Swedish development policy for Cambodia targets poverty relief. The long-term focus is set on on rebuilding social and physical infrastructure.
