About the Embassy

Welcome to the Embassy of Sweden in Belgrade.

The Embassy has the following fields of activities: political, development cooperation, commercial, press, information and culture, consular, and migration. A Nordic police liaison office is attached to the Embassy.

The Embassy also has a Defence attaché office, which monitors issues related to the security sector, and also acts as a liaison between Swedish and Serbian defence forces.

The Ambassador of Sweden to Serbia is accredited to Montenegro since the country declared its independence (3 June 2006).

Following Kosovo´s declaration of independence the responsibilities towards the Liaison Office in Pristina has been taken over by the
