DemoEnvironment – call for new proposals

DemoEnvironment is a grant offering support for modern environmental technology solutions in the areas of sustainable urban development and renewable energy.

DemoEnvironment gives the recipient countries an opportunity to test modern environmental technology solutions and makes it possible for companies to demonstrate their knowledge and products.

The Swedish Agency for Economic and Regional Growth (Tillväxtverket), in collaboration with Swentec, is commissioned by Sida to run DemoEnvironment. The support is targeted at developing countries in Africa, Asia, Latin America and Eastern and Central Europe.

The selection process for this autumn starts 17 August 2009 with the final submission day 30 September 2009. Please see the enclosed brochure for more information.

5th of June the Swedish Ambassador Rolf Bergman inaugurated the art exhibition ”What is identity?” for a crowd of 500 at Vietnam University of Fine Arts in Hanoi. The exhibition presents sound, video, painting, drawing, installation and photography made by 31 Vietnamese and Swedish artists. They have all participated in an exchange that started in 2002 between the university in Hanoi and the Academy of Fine Arts at Umeå University in Sweden.
