New rules for labour immigration

Today the new Swedish rules for labour immigration will be implemented. This has been decided by the Swedish Parliament.

This means that the previous consideration of labour market is to be abolished and the employer will be the one to decide the need for labour, unlike today, when the Swedish Public Employment Service decides this. The Migration Board will consider if the pay and the other conditions of employment are on a level with existing collective agreements or what is customary in the trade.
