Children's book launch

The Embassy of Sweden orginized a children's book launch at the Residence on October 6 in connection with a project carried out by he Anadolu Kültür Association and the Kanat publishing house. The project is financed by the Consulate General of Sweden in İstanbul.

Ten Swedish children's books have been translated into Turkish, each one printed in 5 500 copies. The name of the project is "One book for every child". The books will be distributed to children free of charge
The Swedish Ambassador Christer Asp and the Swedish General Consul were present at the launch.

The European Union welcomes the signature by Armenia and Turkey, in Zürich on 10 October, of the two protocols relating to the establishment of diplomatic relations and the development of bilateral relations between the two countries, including the opening of the common border. The European Union encourages Armenia and Turkey to remain committed to the process of normalisation and calls for the ratification and implementation of the protocols as soon as possible.
