Sweden takes on the challenge - Sweden's priorities for the EU Presidency

The financial crises, unemployment and climate change, will be the Swedish Government's top priorities for the EU presidency, presented by Prime Minister Reinfeldt on June 9.

Prime Minister Fredrik Reinfeldt outlined the priorites for the EU presidency in at a seminar at CEPS, the Centre for European Policy Studies, in Brussels on June 9.

“Managing the financial crisis and unemployment and addressing climate change – these will be the two main priorities of the Swedish Presidency”, he said.

He also referred to the particular circumstances that will characterise the Swedish Presidency.
