Speaker of Kosovo’s Parliament visits Sweden
The speaker of the Parliament in Kosovo, Mr. Jakup Krasniqi, paid and official visit to the Swedish Riksdag on May 7th at the invitation of its Speaker Mr. Per Westerberg.

Presidency Statement on good neighbourly relations
A border agreement between Macedonia and Kosovo was ratified by the parliaments of both countries on October 17. The EU Presidency has issued the following statement:

And that you are ready to take on the challenge with us", said Fredrik Reinfeldt at the start of his speech to the European Parliament on 15 July, where he presented the Swedish Presidency's work programme.

Swedish development assistance - highest in the world
The OECD Development Assistance Committee (DAC) published preliminary statistics for development assistance from all member countries. Sweden's aid volume as a proportion of gross national income (GNI) preliminarily amounted to 0.98 per cent in 2008, which is the highest in the world.
