The Acting Secretary General of the Council of Europe will make an official visit to Stockholm

On 8 September 2009 the Acting Secretary General of the Council of Europe, Mrs Maud de Boer-Buquicchio, will make an official visit to Stockholm. She will meet with the State Secretary for Foreign Affairs, Mr Frank Belfrage, to discuss matters of common interest concerning the Council of Europe and the Swedish Presidency of the European Union 2009.

The Swedish EU minister Cecilia Malmström on October 27 chaired a high level meeting in Luxemburg between the EU and the Council of Europe.
