The Embassy of Sweden wishes to welcome its new Head of Mission

Ambassador Jens Odlander will start his office Monday 16 March 2009. Mr Odlander has great experience with this region and has previously been posted at the Swedish Embassies in Nairobi and Khartoum.

Nov 3 2009 Information regarding the Migration Supreme Court rulings concerning Somali children without legal guardians
The Migration Supreme Court has refused appeals on resident permit decision in May 2009 because the relatives in Sweden was not seen as legal guardians for the Somali children applying at a Swedish abroad mission. The applicants did as a result not have the authority to apply for a residence permit on behalf of the children.
