Swedish export to Syria and Lebanon almost doubled

Swedish export to Syria and Lebanon saw a great increase and almost doubled during the first 6 months of 2009, compared to the same period last year.

In the first half of 2009, Swedish export to Syria rose to 612,3 million SEK to be compared with 316,6 million SEK during the same period last year. Swedish export to Lebanon rose to 324,0 million SEK to be compared with 171,2 during the first half of 2008.

Swedish import from Syria and Lebanon were solid compared to last year. During the first half of 2009 Swedish import from Syria reached 10,2 million SEK and Swedish import from Lebanon reached 35,1 million SEK.
