EU film festival in Damascus

The European Commissions’ delegation in Syria will, together with the European countries, hold a film festival in Damascus.

The EU-film festival starts on 9 of May and will continue until 21 of May. Beacus of the EU -precidency of the Czech Republic, their film contribution will be the first to be screened. All the movies of the Member States will be shown at the Al Kindi Cinema.

The Swedish contribution is the film “One eye red”, which is based on a novel by Jonas Hassen Khemiri, bearing the same name. The movie will be shown one time during the festival, on Wednesday, 20 May at 20:30.

“One eye red” were shown in Swedish cinemas during 2007, and will hereby be available for the Syrian audience.
