Cycling Swede passes through Syria

The Swedish cyclist and adventurer, Peder af Geijerstam, has recently passed Syria in his bid to cycle to China.

It took him four months to reach Syria, which he did in the beginning of October. In the process he had cycled through the Baltic states, Poland, Romania, Bulgaria and Turkey. His journey will take him to, amongst others, Jordan, Egypt, then following the Nile to Sudan after which he will seek to go to Arab Gulf countries and then pass over to Iran.

Peder was an invited speaker during his time in Damascus, speaking of his ongoing journey and answering numerous questions. A fascinating adventure indeed, which has only seen the beginning, as Peder has planned around a further ten months before reaching his final destination.
