The festival is going to be held from 30 September to 4 October at 35mm, a two-screen cinema of Film and Television Faculty, Academy of Music and Dramatic Arts in Svoradova st. 2 in Bratislava. Under the auspices of the patron, a well-known Slovak actress Zuzana Kronerová, the festival presents more than thirty full-length and short films from seventeen countries.The opening film of the festival is a Swedish comedy Patrik, Age 1.5. The film will be shown in original Swedish version with English and Slovak subtitles on 30 September, 2009 at 6.30 p.m. The main characters of the film are Sven and Göran, a homosexual couple, who adopt a 15 months old baby. However, a mistake in the bureaucratic adoption process causes that they get a 15 year old homophobic boy instead. The film takes up important issues such as tolerance, stereotyped view on homosexuals and parenthood.
Inakosť represents homosexual, bisexual and transgender citizens in the Slovak Republic. It’s main task is to protect human rights and basic freedoms of citizens of LGBT minority and to change the view on this minority in Slovakia.
