Regarding passports for young children (under 5 years) the Embassy recommends that you make an appointment in advance since these matters usually takes longer time and there is a risk you might have to wait during ordinary consular hours.

November 9, the 20th anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall was celebrated at the al-Hussein Cultural Centre in Amman. The Swedish Embassy in Jordan was opened in 1981. The first Swedish ambassador was officially accredited to the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan in 1981 and the first Ambassador based in Amman was appointed in 1986. Their Majesties King Carl XVI Gustaf and Queen Silvia paid a state visit to Jordan in 1989.
