Jordanian Minister of Political Development in Sweden

HE the Minister of Political Development, Mr Musa Maaytah payed a visit to Sweden on 18 June.

The visit, which was arranged by the Friedrich Ebert Stiftung, aimed at studying the Swedish electoral system. The visit included meetings at the Swedish Parliament (Riksdagen) and International IDEA.

The first Swedish ambassador was officially accredited to the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan in 1981 and the first Ambassador based in Amman was appointed in 1986. Their Majesties King Carl XVI Gustaf and Queen Silvia paid a state visit to Jordan in 1989.
