Swedish Minister of Trade in Amman

The minister of Trade, Ewa Björling, visited Amman 14-16 June.

Dr. Björling was accompanied by a delegation consisting of ten Swedish companies and government authorities. Apart from meetings with the Jordanian Minister of Trade, Amer Hadidi, and Prime Minister Nader Dahabi, the Minister of Trade also, among other things, took part in a well visited Swedish-Jordanian business seminar. The seminar was arranged by the Embassy, Jordan Investment Board and Swedish Trade Council. In connection with this, the delegation’s participants got the opportunity to meet Jordanian companies in a matchmaking session. The Minister also had the honor to inaugurate the new Swedish Embassy chancellery in Amman, with a following delayed celebration of the Swedish National Day.

Their Majesties King Carl XVI Gustaf and Queen Silvia paid a state visit to Jordan in 1989.
