Climate Commission: Rapid action now to address climate change

Gunilla Carlsson, who has led the work of the International Commission on Climate Change and Development, presented the Commission's final report to UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon in New York yesterday

New and additional money for climate adaptation is urgently needed concludes the Commission in its final report. Donors are urged to honour their ODA commitments. Local ownership is key. At the same time, effective global funding mechanisms are needed to address the climate challenges facing developing countries.

Mar 4 2009 On January 1, 2007 the Embassy of Sweden in Abuja, Nigeria introduced a new internet based system for visa applications in Nigeria and also new payment routines.
The new system requires that the applicant must first pay the visa fee at a designated bank before filling out the application form and booking time for an appointment at the Embassy. The webpage is managed by a Nigerian bank with whom the Embassy is collaborating. Only applicants paying the visa fee in Nigeria will be able to use the webpage.
