Peter Tejler now also Ambassador to Namibia

Ambassador Peter Tejler presented his credentials to the President of Namibia, Hifikepunye Pohamba in company of colleagues from Malaysia, Colombia, Italy, Poland, Japan and Ukraine on 1 October at the New State House in Windhoek.

Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs and Minister of Information and Communication Technology Joel Kaapanda, the Dean of Diplomats in Namibia and Angolan Ambassador to Namibia Manuel Elexandre Duardo Rodriguez, Permanent Secretary in the Office of the President Dr Ndeutala Angolo-Amutenya and other senior government officials witnessed the event.

In connection to the visit, the Ambassador held bilateral talks and hosted a reception at the newly established Sweden House. Representatives from the Namibian Government, the business society as well as civil society were present at the reception.

Namibia and Sweden has a strong and long-lasting relationship relating back to Sweden’s support for Namibian independence.
