The Swedish Minister for International Development Cooperation Gunilla Carlsson and the Minister for Trade Ewa Björling also participated in the visit.
On 10 September, Mr Reinfeldt held bilateral talks with the President of South Africa, Jacob Zuma. The following day, 11 September, Mr Reinfeldt, as representative of the Presidency of the European Union, chaired the EU summit with South Africa. In addition to the meetings, the Prime Minister gave a speech at the University of Witwatersrand in Johannesburg, where he also met with students, and one at the seminar ”SymbioCity” – sustainability by Sweden”, organised by the Swedish Trade Council and the Swedish Embassy.
