    1 February 2012 the Swedish minister for trade presented the government’s Musicexportprice to the Swedish House Mafia. This years honorary price was given to Roxette for their achievements regarding the promotion and distribution of Swedish music abroad.

    January 19 2012 Counsellor Marie-Louise Thaning represented the Embassy of Sweden in a panel discussion at a seminar about arbitration. Participating was also Sorin Suciu from the Swedish Trade Council, representatives from Stockholm Chambers of Commerce as well as Stockholm Arbitration & Litigation Centre (SALC) and Romanian arbitrators.The aim of the seminar was to examine various cost-cutting mechanisms available to the parties taking part in arbitration in order to more efficiently achieve resolutions of international disputes without losing business relations. This in connection to the Stockholm Chamber of Commerce (SCC) arbitration rules that has recently been translated into Romanian.
