Switzerland is from the 12 December 2008 part of Schengen. From that time third-country nationals residing in Switzerland with a residence permit (C, B or L) do not need a visa to visit other Schengen countries, for a maximum of 90 days.

This includes travelling by car, train and airplane. Checks at airports are likely to be lifted next March.
