New application fees
As of 23 January 2009 the new application fee for a Schengen Visa will be INR 3,900 and the application fee for a new Work Permit will be 12,000. For other application fees – please contact the Embassy. All payments for application fees regarding Visas should be made by Bank Draft in favour of the “Embassy of Sweden (Visa)”. As of 1 February 2009 no other form of payment will be accepted.

Memorandum of Understanding between Sweden and India on Environment and Defence
A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on Environment and a MoU on Defence were signed in conjunction with the Bilateral Talks on 5 November between the Swedish Prime Minister Mr Fredrik Reinfeldt and the Indian Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh.

The Prime Minister of Sweden, Mr Fredrik Reinfeldt arrives in India on Thursday, November 5 for Bilateral Talks with his Indian counterpart Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh and to head the EU delegation at the India-EU Summit. He is accompanied by Minister for Foreign Affairs Mr Carl Bildt, Trade Minister Dr Ewa Björling and a 36-member high level delegation from the Swedish government and business community.
