Nobel Prize Week

The Nobel Prizes will be announced from 5 - 12 October and as always the Laureates will then gather in Stockholm in the beginning of December for an intensive week of press conferences, lectures and concerts, culminating on 10 December with the award ceremony and banquet.

Arguably the world´s most prestigious prize, the Nobel Prize has been awarded since 1901 to men and women from around the world for achievements in physics, chemistry, physiology or medicin, literature and peace, in accordance with the will of Swedish scientist and inventor, Alfred Nobel.
The Riksbank Prize in Economic Sciences in memory of Alred Nobel was instituted in 1968.

Originally commissioned by Swedish National Radio, ‘ The Seduction of Ingmar Bergman’ could be heard on BBC 6 Music on 8 November.
