H.M. King Carl XVI Gustaf of Sweden conveys condolences over Earthquake in Sumatra

His Majesty King Carl XVI Gustaf of Sweden expressed his deep sadness over the tragedy and loss of lives caused by the devastating earthquake that struck Sumatra on 30 September 2009.

In his letter to President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono on Thursday, The King and the Queen conveyed their heartfelt condolences to the people of Indonesia affected by the disaster.
