Deputy Head of Mission Visits Harkakötöny

Anders Karlsland, the Counsellor (the Deputy Head of Mission) of the Swedish Embassy in Budapest paid a visit to Harkakötöny on the invitation of Imre Albert Brassó, Mayor of the town to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the town’s foundation.

After an informal discussion with the Mayor, he visited the exhibitions in the Village Hall, and then met some of the members of the Harkakötöny Local Government.

Sven Wollter plays the lead part as chief commissioner Van Veeteren in both movies, which are based upon the Swedish author Håkan Nesser’s novels about the police in the fictitious town of Maardam.

Lukas Moodyson’s critically acclaimed movie “Together” (Együtt) is about life in a Swedish collective during the mid-1970’s. Elisabeth decides to leave her violent husband Rolf and takes her daughter Eva and her son Stefan with her to go and live with her brother Göran in a collective, together with people with leftist sympathies. Elisabeth slowly gets accustomed to the new model of society, while Stefan continues to miss his father, and Eva starts seeing a boy from the house across the street.
