Swedish singer performs at Café IF

The Swedish singer Johanna Toth will perform at IF Café (IX. district, Ráday utca 19) on the 13 September at 7.30 p.m.

Johanna, who received her upper secondary school education at the Nordic Music High School newly graduated from a Music-theatre school in the south of Sweden, where many of Sweden’s greatest musical artists have studied as well. Johanna has worked as a backup singer and also played in musicals like Grease and the Southern Boulevard 5. She is going to perform jazz, pop and sing n’ songwriter songs with her acoustic guitar and piano. She will mainly play English and Swedish songs but also sing some tunes influenced by her Hungarian roots. Entry is free.

Lukas Moodyson’s critically acclaimed movie “Together” (Együtt) is about life in a Swedish collective during the mid-1970’s. Elisabeth slowly gets accustomed to the new model of society, while Stefan continues to miss his father, and Eva starts seeing a boy from the house across the street.
