Acclaimed Swedish cirque nouveau troupe Cirkus Cirkör made its US debut at BAM by presenting Inside Out, featuring live music by Irya's Playground, on November 12. The guest performance was presented through November 15 as part of BAM's Next Wave Festival.

Inside Out is a show that celebrates the artistry, technical skillfulness, magic and life of the circus. It was described by one Swedish newspaper as "a magical breathtaking performance" and "powerful interdisciplinary work of art".

Featuring the sounds of Swedish dub-punk-new wave-electro-inspired band Irya's Playground and an outlandish mix of skilled acrobatics, musical theater and spectacle, Inside Out boggles the mind by way of the body. Actors and acrobats course through veins, explode through space like uncoiled strands of DNA, and lunge across synapses in a poetic, humorous and gravity-defying voyage.

The performance is supported by the Consulate General of Sweden and was presented on November 12-15 as part of BAM's Next Wave Festival.
