New ambassador in Lusaka

Today the Government appointed Marie Andersson de Frutos as Sweden's Ambassador in Lusaka, Zambia.

Marie Andersson de Frutos is currently engaged in trade promotion at the Africa Department of the Ministry for Foreign Affairs. During 20 years within the Ministry she has been working with security, development, migration, trade and administration. She has been living in several countries in southern Africa: Angola, Mozambique and Botswana.

The present ambassador to Zambia Lars Ronnås will be returning to the Ministry for Foreign Affairs in Stockholm and will during the Swedish EU Presidency be working with the following-up of the EU-African Joint Strategy and Action Plan.
