    Many exciting and interesting international figures will take part in the European Development Days in Stockholm. The largest meeting of the Swedish Presidency will also be open to the public, and will address development issues in a broad perspective. The meeting is being jointly organised with the European Commission.

    The European Union welcomes the signature by Armenia and Turkey, in Zürich on 10 October, of the two protocols relating to the establishment of diplomatic relations and the development of bilateral relations between the two countries, including the opening of the common border. The European Union encourages Armenia and Turkey to remain committed to the process of normalisation and calls for the ratification and implementation of the protocols as soon as possible.

    Istanbul Moda Academy (IMA) is hosting the touring exhibition “Eco Chic – Towards Sustainable Swedish Fashion” in collaboration with the Swedish Institute and the Consulate General of Sweden 1-21 October 2009. The exhibition, which includes 16 designs from 14 Swedish designers, will bring professionals from the fashion and textile industry together for the opening event at IMA on October 1.
