Swedish statement on the UN Summit on Climate Change

The Swedish Prime Minister, Fredrik Reinfeldt, spoke on the High Level Summit on Climate Change in the UN's General Assembly today. Other speakers at the summit were, among others, the Secretary-General of the UN Ban Ki-Moon, the United States' president Barack Obama and the Maldives' president Mohamed Nasheed.

The statements were followed by roundtable discussions. Nearly 100 world leaders attended the summit with the intention to mobilize political will and strengthen momentum for a fair, effective, and ambitious climate deal in Copenhagen this December.
