Mando Diao in concert

Mando Diao is a garage rock band from Borlänge, Sweden.

Back in 1999 Mando’s softly-spoken, loud-singing Björn Dixgård together with the nervy, charismatic lead singer Gustaf Norén, the energy packed drummer Samuel Giers and showman bassist Carl Johan Fogelklou – formed Mando Diao, later completed with organist Mats Björke. The new band set about playing all seven local clubs and the local petrol stations in their home town and when they’d done that about 10 times over they were ready to explode out of Borlange and onto the Stockholm rock scene, and so they did.

A new album, with the appropriate and demanding title “Give Me Fire”, featuring the hit single "Dance With Somebody", was released by Universal in February. And ever since its conception Mando Diao have been spinning on a worldwide tour that never seems to end, preaching their musical gospel to a an amazed audience wherever they go.
