Swedish novelist, playwright and artist August Strindberg (1849 – 1912) wrote 58 plays during his lifetime and has arguably become one of the most influential Scandinavian writers of all time. Sex and power dominate his scandalous masterpiece, ‘Miss Julie’ as Strindberg explores what draws men and women together – and makes them want to destroy each other. ’Miss Julie’ is directed by Stephen Unwin and the cast includes Daniel Betts, Lucy Briers and Rachel Pickup.
